HIGH TEMPERATURE
Our HFFR (Heat-Flame-Fire-Resistant) felts are at the forefront of heat protection. Developed for applications where temperatures of several hundred degrees are reached, these materials offer robust and reliable solutions – from industrial filtration to personal protective equipment for firefighters and rescue workers.
The HFFR product range at a glance:
OPAN fiber needle felt: This felt made of oxidized polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) can easily withstand extreme temperatures and chars without melting or dripping. It is often used as a protective material for welding blankets, vehicle fire protection and heat-resistant seals.
Meta and para-aramid needle felt: High-performance fibers such as meta and para-aramid are suitable for applications that require both thermal stability and exceptional strength – perfect for protective clothing and robust technical textiles.
Flexible material combinations: Our felts can be individually adapted depending on the application. For example, we process different fiber combinations with aramid scrim reinforcement or combine OPAN needle felt with glass fiber to maximize heat resistance and mechanical stability. Polyester needle felts can also be provided with additional flame retardant equipment (FR equipment), so that we can flexibly adapt our qualities to the respective requirements.
With our HFFR product line, we offer solutions for various industries and adapt the materials specifically to the challenges of extreme temperatures.
